inquiry
The USA1 team won the Junior world championship again this year (back to back wins for 4 of the team members). BBO and BBF regulars Jlall (justin Lall -- although justin is not posting here currently) and jdonn (Jsoh Donn) were on the winning team. Addiition team members wer Jason Feldman, Ari Greenberg, Joe Grue, John Kranyak. Well done.
pclayton
Well done. I did think the final segment was a typo (82 to ONE against); but I guess not. I hope Josh can share some stories about Bangkok. B)
DenisO
Yes - Well done USA1 on a great victory. A privilege to watch such a great tournament. What a fantastic final segment! - some commentators were suggesting that Italy might concede - behind by 96 IMPs with only 16 boards left. But no - out they came really fighting and the result was in some doubt right to the last few boards. My only quibble is with the WBF - I know we have been over all this in another thread - but please, please why can't the WBF give enough resources to show both tables at such a major Final? Walddk
Congratulations to USA 1 from me too, and well done to Italy for putting up such a great fight when everything seemed lost. Rumour has it that the WBF is aware of the fact that they should spend more money on promoting youth bridge, for example earmark more resources on internet coverage. Better late than never. Winstonm
Yeah, well, winning the first time could be attributed to skill - but two times in a row is blind luck. :D
