joshs
This was a hysterical auction from chicago:1N(14-16)-2N(Modified Puppet stayman)-3D(Any 4333)-3H(do you have 4 hearts?)-3S(No, I have 4 Spades)-P!!! I started cracking up when partner passed me in 3S. As I it was I made 3 with my 4333 14 count (but even 3 was marginal). This all happened because we didn't have a good way of inviting game with 4-4 in the majors (Blame Ron Klinger's first version of Keri for that) so partner stretched to force game and then heard I was 4333 and hated that so took a position.... awm
original keri invites via heart transfer + 2♠. you don't like that? :) Josh and I recently discovered that there are more versions of Keri than people know. Josh had the original published version (from Australia) in which transfer to hearts followed by 2♠ is a one-round force and shows both majors. In the slightly more recent published version, transfer to hearts followed by 2♠ is invitational with 4♥ and 4+♠ (and not forcing). Then there's the third version "new Keri" which I haven't actually seen in print anywhere except online on these forums (and which seems to be a radical departure from the older versions).
