Do you have a suggestion for a book or sofware on contested auctions?

A book explaining the principles and when to bid or not.

Hi,

 

Marshall Miles, "Competitive Bidding in the 21st century",

well written, covers most aspects off compet. bidding.

 

Larry Cohen, "To bid or not to bid", introduction to the

Law of Total tricks, more restricted scope, but well written

netheless.

 

Marty Bergen "Better Bidding with Bergen", 2nd volume.

You will find a lots of things in it, but you need to like the

writing style, if not, well take a look at another book ... .

PS: As you see may guess, I prefer the bookby Miles, but

other like the book written by Bergen, if you have the optio,

try to get a look into the books before you purchase the books.

Robson and Segal, Partnership bidding at bridge. Use google and search the internet you will probably find the book in PDF format.

Mike Lawrence has "I Fought the LAW" which discusses problems with the LAW (presented in the Larry Cohen books).

 

Mike also has a 2/1 book titled "the COntested Auction"
