south---------------north

1----2(weak)----X neg----3

3------pass-------3nt----pass

???

do you agree with the 3 call ?

are your looking to play 4 or you pass hoping partner will make 3nt.

Will you try a "i hope my partner understand" 4D call.

opp are white so they could bid with cheese.

Hi,

I agree with 3H, pass is certainly

an option but 3H is also ok.

Afterall, you have a single in their suit.

Now I pass, partner did hear the auction.

If I bid 4S, or 4D (?!), this would either say,

partner is an idiot / cant play the cards,

or that I now think 3H was wrong, ... but

one does not change horses in the middle

of the race.

With kind regards

Marlowe

PS: If they have bid on cheese, that means

partner has add. val, so why bid on.

Be more concerned, that they have more than

one expects.

3H and pass.

As pard known I had 0~1 D, 4H, 4+C, should pard had more interests playing spade game than 3NT, he probably would have bid 3S/4S.

How did pd know you got 0~1 ?

Opps seems have a 9+ card fit, pard bid 3NT should have 3, only 1 left for me. Ok, it's true that someone always bid over/beneath to normal, i.e., 2D with 5 cards D suit only, and maybe his pard raised with 2 support (so pard would have 5 D!), or to the other end, opps could have 10 card fit but only bid 3. Whatever, it's very possible pard has a clear vision. So I assume he knows.

Someone may set up trap against me, but it does not happen too often:) .

hi

Removing 3NT is a bridge crime.. y opened thin , have shown 2 suits and p freely bids 3nt.. Taking out 3nt here is a slam try for me ... which slam you fancy? ... also start looking for a new p .. you'll be all alone soon.

If I pull 3NT, I am most likely pulling to a 43 spade fit. PD knows both opps bid D and freely bid 3NT. I trust him and pass. I expect he has a double stopper, and if it's marginal I am quite glad to hold the J which may make a marginal dbl stop into a guaranteed one.

I find it very strange that p did not bid 3..unless you play responsive dbls and your failure to dbl denies at least 4/3 in majors...I would trust that p used neg double correctly and his dbl guarantees 4/3+ and no more than 3..which leaves me to wonder about his holding..anyway ...p can have

4-3-3-3 or a 4-3-4-2...which may explain why he did not bid 3..so I will trust p to have 2 or 1/4 top honors with 10,9 in and pass.

Opps may have singletons or probably voids...since their hands seem to be shapely ..from their bidding..so 3NT may be marginally ok.
