Rebound
I picked upvoidQxx10xxxxJ10xxxin first seat. This was a pickup team game, unknown partner, all red.I passed, lho passed, then it went, 1♣-(1♠)-2♣*-(2♠)-3♣-(3♠)-4♣*-(X) *these calls were by me and the subject of discussion.Partner made 4♣X and they were cold for game in ♠. So, did I get lucky? I'm sure some of you would find a way to open the hand, but assuming an initial pass, I'd like to hear what you folks would do with those cards. P_Marlowe
2C is clear, and 4C with respect to the spade voidas well.you are just following the law. With kind regardsMarlowe

mr1303
I would have bid 3 or 4 clubs the first time round. I'm not a fan of walking the dog...

I'm not a fan of walking the dog... you are right .-), but playing with an unknown partner, I can understand 2Cfollowed by 4C. kenrexford
I like your bidding, also. Informing the opponents about the length of your lower-ranking fit often simply helps the opponents. Similarly, advertising weakness accomplishes the same bad result. I would not call your calls "walking the dog," instead referring to it as protection of information advantage. Nice auction, well rewarded.
