zimzam
A beginnerhistory from BBO I have a friend who want to learn bridge, so he registered at BBO totally green. Vi had som lessons in bidtraining, where he learned counting points and opening bidding. We decided to play some hands against some friends of mine and we were supposed to bid totally natural and without any conventions, just to learn the first steps :-) This hand was one of his first bridgehands ever!: Magne A108xx x KQxx Kxx Me9AJ1098xxAxxxx Me Magne 3H pass 3S! x3NT pass pass xpass pass xx! passpass pass Jack of spades led Ace won. The small heart forced the queen an Ace and the next heart forced the King. Clubshift to Ace and a new club. Claim +2. 1800 scored and then my friend Magne asks: "Was that good?" LOL zimzam

Echognome
dummy has a singleton heart... and knocked out the QH... later took AH and knocked out HK, then how did they do that without using up the AD? Because the Q was singleton. You can infer it from the story.
barmar
dummy has a singleton heart... and knocked out the QH... later took AH and knocked out HK, then how did they do that without using up the AD? He didn't knock out the ♥Q, he led beat it with the A, then forced out the K. So the contract makes when RHO has xxx, H, Hx, KQ, or KQx in ♥.
