Sigi_BC84
With two of the "easy" options plus Engerland out, maybe another poll makes sense. Make your pick. --Sigi
han
I think this is the fourth WC poll. I choose France, Zidane is still da man.

hrothgar
I'll too depressed for words... For me, the World Cup is all about getting drunk in Brazlian bars...Its just not gonna be the same. My family is German, so I guess that i'll root for them.On the bright side, beers is better than caprihinas
whereagles
On the bright side, beers is better than caprihinas Matter of taste. But I also prefer a good beer. Belgian beer :)
Walddk
Germany v Italy:The Germans put up a good fight, but the better team won. If only Italy would play attacking football more often. However, the goals were spectacular; definitely worth waiting for. Making it to the semi-finals was indeed a good effort by the hosts. mike777
Watching the OT was exciting. I am really surprised most of the world prefers penalty kicks as opposed to sudden death. This match seems like a great argument for sudden death with very limited rules on substitutes in OT.
whereagles
What a great game, GER-ITA. But I wish they would not make us wait for 2 hours before seeing some football :P :P B) ;) :)

han
What a great game. I thought both Germany and Italy played really well, although Italy clearly at a higher level. Especially technically they were just better. This was perhaps the best match in the world cup so far. I started out rooting for Germany, but as the game progressed I wanted Italy to win. What a pleasure to see the Italians attack like this! Watching the OT was exciting. I am really surprised most of the world prefers penalty kicks as opposed to sudden death. This match seems like a great argument for sudden death with very limited rules on substitutes in OT. What are you talking about Mike, the world does not prefer penalty kicks. Most prefer one of the teams to score before 120 minutes. BTW, does OT stand for overtime? Is this a common abbreviation?
Walddk
BTW, does OT stand for overtime? Is this a common abbreviation? It does indeed, commonly used in North America. Basketball and ice hockey for example. In Europe the term "extra time" is used. Roland
cherdano
Germany's biggest party since 89 is suddenly over, wow. At the end, Italy had the better players, congratulations to them on both a great team effort and some superb individual plays.

cherdano
Codo, I agree there is a party outside. A great party. But it's not the same party as the one that took place until yesterday, half past eleven.
