pbleighton
3D, but only because it looks better if it's wrong in the post mortem than does 2NT  Peter
Double !
3 diamonds. p will play you for a balanced 12-14 with spade stopper if you rebid 2NT, and any other bid would seem to be overly optimistic or a distortion in the face of a potential misfit. You might try 2S and rebid 3S if you know that P will interpret this as being natural and not some type of cue bid in support of hearts. The latter might be needed to expose a psych: do people psych at total points? DHL

jdonn
3♦ is obvious. I don't even feel I'm underbidding, the overcall and partner's bid both make my hand worse.
Free
Yeah, 3♦. Hope partner doesn't insist on playing in ♣ or ♥, which he will certainly do when you bid 2NT... ;)
Miron
3♦ or 3NT (if it is a shut-up bid).
whereagles
3♦. As Luis would say, "let's try the simple solution first".
helene_t
3NT. I'm afraid 3♦ is not forcing. Btw, in Acol, 2NT would be forcing so 3NT must show a hand like this, right?
P_Marlowe
3D. Taking the low road, if partner is interested in a spade stopper he can ask. With kind regardsMarlowe

So with 12-14 balanced you would have opened 1NT. 12-14 semi bal. with an spade stopper is still an option, since 2NT is certainly not game forcing. This depends on your NT opening style,if you regular open off shape NT, 2NTnow will certainly promise the 15-16 NT,... but this needs to be discussed beforehand. helene_t
How can 3♦ be forcing? Was 2♥ forcing to 3♥, or would 2NT be an artificial sign-off?

han
I play 3♦ as forcing, 2♥ promises a rebid below game. I think that this is bridge world standard, a good topic to discuss with partner. I think that Mikeh has often written on this subject.
