mike777
subbing players into a teamgame is just too confusing....I spent 15 minutes trying to get players into game..and bbo kept telling me error....I cannot often tell who is missing and when a subbing works...this just needs to be made clearer..I have now canceled 3 games over this issue, very frustrating. mrdct
On the occasions when I've needed to sub a player in a teams match, I simply click on "table" and a box pops up where I enter the name of the player leaving and name of the player coming in. Seems to work OK.
uday
In theory, the TD of the team game can also 'Right-click' on any player, red or not, and select "Replace XXX with any substitute" The TD can also click the TABLE button, and from the next screen, type in the name of the player to be replaced (and optionally the subs name). If the sub is not specified, subs are invited from the list of users who registered as subs. If the sub is specified (he need not have registered) he is asked to confirm that he wants to play. How do I click on a player at the other table? I am never sure when a player has accepted to sub? As I said very confusing, and often when I try this I just get nothing or an error msg. Thanks for the quick response to my query but this issue is confusing.
Dwingo
I was in one of the TM which mike777 hosted. mike777 was at the other table. Some funny behaviour which I have never experienced before and I am now left wondering if it is a bug in version 4.7.6. ( I have never experienced this before and I play a lot of TM games) My pd left the table and as usual the seat was reserved for him to return. He didn't return at all. But this status did not change, even after close to 10 minutes. Usually my Table button will be active, so that I can choose a sub. But my Table button was greyed out and I could do nothing about it. Then one of the Opps left. The seat was reserved for the player and that seat did not change the status. My other opp did not know how to take a sub and then Table collapsed. mike777 must have cancelled in frustration or the 3rd person must have left. Mr. Dodgy
It wasn't a team match but I had an odd problem substituting the other day, too. I had subbed into a 'sitout' seat in a tournament, and tried to 'get a substitute for my partner' (the other sitout) using the 'call director' button. Each time, 'an error occurred', and the substitution was not completed. The same thing happened if I tried the alternate 'show me the list of substitutes' method. Eventually, a substitute arrived, I presume at the behest of a TD. This substitute was one the the players I had tried in vain to obtain from the sub list. How do I click on a player at the other table? Use the Tables button (on the right edge above Tourneys) to see all the players at both tables. I didn't know about this functionality but it will certainly help with players who have spaces and other items in their names. Paul
