awm
Ruff the lead, spade ace. Assuming both follow, then diamond to ace and pull trumps ending in dummy. Basically the chances are: Spades 2-2: Will make if diamonds are no worse than 4-2, or the diamond jack is singleton, or if the club queen is doubleton onside or AQx onside with diamonds 5-1. Spades 3-1: Will make if diamonds are 3-3, or if the diamond jack is doubleton. If neither of these happens, can still play for the club queen doubleton onside. Spades 4-0: Will need to switch gears here because the entries are messed up. I would immediately play a club to the ten, hoping to find doubleton queen or AQx onside. The 2♥ opener has 3 ♠. So lets concentrate on 31♠. You are at table and have only 1 trump left on table.Do you draw last trump and play for 33♦, and hope to catch ♣Qx on your right if ♦ doesnt break?Or you ruff a ♦ to hand 1st, ♠ to dummy, play the good ♦. Play a ♣ from table to your KT, and choose which ♣ to play? You could succeed if RHO has either ♣ honor, and you play the right ♣. :) :)
