1eyedjack
Belay that - got on now and does not look like a wholesale crash given the numbers online when I eventually connected.

inquiry
This was a very funny time.... for some reason... 1) One oplayer in a mbt could not finish even one hand due to very slow gib. Everyone esle seemed fine 2) One tournament (Rafa) had about 1/3 of the players disconnected, all other tourneys looked fine with none or no more than one disconnected player 3) One teammatch had a husband wife on the same local LAN. The wife had horrible connection, the husband fine. The wife tried rebooting, and then could never get back logged in to BBO (From Same LAN), while the husband continued to not have any problems whatso ever. Just an observation. rehagur
seems like i am getting tcp checksum errors on packets from bbo. might be a bad connection on one of their machines.
uday
can you post a traceroute or email it to uday@ pls ?
uday
Never mind the traceroutes; we found the problem & fixed it. This turned out to have nothing to do w/the network; one of the 4 machines that we connect to was having a bad hair day. We eventually found the problem and it has been fixed. Ben, the weird connection problems you describe are explained by this; one person on a LAN might well have connected to a good machine whereas the other might have been connected to the bad machine uday
