sceptic
what is the best thing to do here? I fully expected the 3 spade bid and that is why I need to understand what the hell to do here does the 3 spade bid put off the opps from leading the suit ? paulg
Pass. Partner has four spades and not four hearts, you cannot realistically expect to make a minor suit game but you do have the values for 3N. They are unlikely to lead a spade into partner's known suit and any other lead can only help. Try not to overanalyse some of these hands ;) Paul
jchiu
Heck, even a spade lead helps :-)
hotShot
I don't see any problem here. Bidding went as one could expect.3NT should make 4-3♥, 2-3♣, 1-3♠ and 1-4 ♦.Yes opps won't lead ♠ after easts ♠ bid, so don't expect help there.A ♦ lead helps to develope dummy's ♦, leads in ♣ and ♥ won't cause a problem. What's the problem here? Did your partner make 6?
sceptic
no the problem is I am just unsre whether to bid 3nt direct or not thats all, I think I have come across that hand (well sort of the same) about 3 or 4 times and I am curious about the best way to tackle it
