Mr. Dodgy
Recently, Uday told me that there may be some limitations on the number of IDs I can have on my 'enemies' list and still have it be effective. At the time I had 352 enemies (all because of problematic behaviour in tourneys). I have since culled this considerably, and consequently my 'enemies' would seem to be now excluded, but I'd like to know if these limitations apply to other lists. As an example, there are currently 1358 IDs to whom I have awarded 'DodgyPoints' for obtaining good results. Is is possible to have an effective include list this large? Is a 'custom' exclude list subject to the same limitations? If I exclude both a custom list AND enemies, does the limitation apply to each list individually, or the sum of the excluded IDs? uday
Include lists include by username; while there are limits, numbers like 1358 won't be a problem Exclude lists exclude by PC fingerprint ( much longer than usernames ) ; exclude lists exclude the 1st blah pcs (where blah is something like 1000) based on recent usage. This post describes what happens when include & exclude are used at the same time http://forums.bridgebase.com/index.php?showtopic=13234
Mr. Dodgy
Great! Might this PC fingerprint explain why I sometimes find the same name multiple times in my enemy list - same login, different PC? I think you may have misinterpreted the last question...I'm not really concerned with combining includes and excludes, but two exclude lists - 'custom' and 'enemies'. If I use both can I exclude 2000 'fingerprints', or will just the first 1000 be blocked (using your example figures)? Thanks, justin
