pbleighton
I am going to ignore 7H, and just bid 6. Peter
Free
You doubled to show a strong hand with ♠s right? So what's the problem? Show your ♠s... :(
hotShot
Does 4♥ show 5+ ♥ or 4+♥?If you don't have an agreement or if it shows 4+ ♥, you should bid 4♠. From what you write it is stronger than direct 3♠ and 4♠, it must be forcing. If it promisses 5+ cards a scientific approach towards a ♥ slam seems appropriate. P_Marlowe
Hi, 4NT, showing the fit, asking for KQ in hearts,if partner denies holding akey card and the queen of hearts, I will stop in 5H. The main problem will be, that the danger of a diamond ruff is fairly high, and that trumpsmaybe 4-2 or 4-1. With kind regardsMarlowe

Show your ♠s... :( Hi, what do you think partner will bidwith 5 hearts, a single spade ...with lots of hands, where 6H is cold,he will pass. With kind regardsMarlowe PS: I would have bid 4S direct, but having decided that my hand is more powerful, I am notgoing to change my opinion in the middle of the race. Free
It wasn't MY choice to double (I disagree to double here btw), but it's clear the one that doubled wanted to show this kind of hand: (very) strong with lots of ♠s. He should've forseen any problems by partner having 5 or more ♥ and bidding at the 4-level immediatly before taking out that red card, not after... Double !
You doubled to show a strong hand with ♠s right? So what's the problem? Show your ♠s... :) makes sense to meand by doubling first, wouldn't that imply heart tolerance? DHL

DHL i don't think it necessarily would... by doubling and then bidding spades over partner's heart bid, it could just show a very strong hand with spades.. it *could* imply hearts also, but i think by bidding spades here it puts partner under a lot of pressure - especially with an 8 card or better heart fit known(?) to exist
pclayton
I'm willing to key card here, but I am deathly afraid of a diamond ruff in 6H. OTOH I am concerned spades aren't running in 6N, so whatever I do will probably be a guess assuming we have sufficient key cards.
