bid_em_up
Since about 10 am this morning, I have been unable to get "my hands" to retreive any data. My first attempts had a message from uday stating that it was under going maintenance and would be available in about an hour. After waiting more than an hour and retrying, I get the search page, but when doing a search, it comes back with "no data found". It also appears that many tournies are missing from tournament result pages. Just letting you know, in case you werent already aware of this. :P
uday
I had to wipe the older hands from myhands when my hour ran out Any hands played after 10 AM, tourney or otherwise, are available as usual. Any older hands are not . We do have the older hands lying around but I don't believe I'm going to put them back online. The hands databases are awkward for our (low end ) machines to handle when they get too large.
foo
OK, what would be a reasonable server upgrade that would make this problem go away?
bid_em_up
Ummm, ok. Even though I think thats a mistake. Can you not delete much older hands (say more than 3 months old) to reduce the file size and leave the rest? Are the hands "stored" via BBO on my machine? Just a question :)
julie5607
Bid em up, Yes they are stored on your machine. Look on your hard disk in your bbo folder, you will find a subfolder called "hands" and in that you will find sub folders for each of your identities. Each of those folders will hold bridge movie files that are named by the date created. If you open those you will find the hands that you played for that session, with the results that they recieved at the time they were played. It's not nearly as good as myhands as the results of the hands aren't complete, but at least you get a record of every hand you played stored historically on your own system. Hope that helps (and I also wish Uday would put a few months of the old data back into myhands) Julie
bid_em_up
I havent found the actual hands, but only the results. Then again, I may have "log hands" turned off, since I didnt need to log them as they were available in "my hands". But thx anyway.
