I much rather play with someone I get to know and is comparable to me in skill level. I rate myself advanced and for now I use the standard SAYC bidding system with the following "toys": SAYC, Std Bkwd or 0314RKC, Gerber on NTopenings, Michaels cuebids, Stayman, Jacoby + Texas transfers, Splinters, UnNT ... we can add as we go along. I have played a lot in my high scholl and college years. Later I did not play much other than against the computer for about 20 years. I have picked it up again recently and I am playing in tournaments both in clubs and online.
