But as long as it doesn't slow down play I don't have a big problem with it. Since this is the B/I forum, why would you do this if you're trying to get better? Not because it's cheating, but because they won't get any better by doing so. The game is a lot more fun when you can count the hand without taking notes, and when you can make a good decision because of your own counting skills. (Footnote to Law 40: "A player is not entitled, during the auction and play periods, to any aids to his memory, calculation or technique.")
