Finding an individual in lobby

Recommended Posts

When there is the odd thousand players in lobby, and I wish to find an individual who is not flagged as a friend, and whose ID begins somewhere late in the alphabet, I find it quite tedious clicking on the right-arrow for about 5 mins until his section of the alphabet scrolls into view.

If I simply want to chat to him I know a shortcut (provided he is online).

But if I simply want to discover whether he is online and perhaps edit my profile of him then that shortcut is not adequate.

I don't generally favour cluttering up the screen, but perhaps a row of shortcut icons labelled

1ABCDEFGHIJKLMN... etc

and you could click on the letter of interest to fast scroll there?

I expect there is an obvious solution already in existence that I am missing.

Easier still, rather than scrolling to the end of the list of names, you can RIGHT click on the big arrow near the news button (upper right hand side of the screen) and pick the letter the person name starts with. Sometimes it is easier to pick the letter after his and scroll back... for instance if loooking for Tzrrr name, you might click not "T" but "U" then back up.

Another thing you can do is temporarily add them as a friend, so they'll immediately show up at the beginning of the list. If you open up your profile and go into the Friends/Enemies section, you can add a friend by typing their name, rather than having to click on them in the lobby listing.
