If someone shows out, you need to play on ♠'s for 4 tricks to go along with the top two ♦. Play will be ♠Queen and let it run if not covered. inquiry Posted April 16, 2006 Report Share Posted April 16, 2006 Oh, only 5♦'s in dummy. Makes it slightly harder. play on ♦'s requires 3-2 split plus a squeeze (4D+3C+3H+1S is only 11 tricks). Playing on ♠ give you a better chance. 3-2 ♦ is only 68 -- then you still have to find and execute some squeeze. Going after spades is better precentage. Lead ♠Q and let it run if not covered. If east wins the king, then lead the ♠9 next, running it if not covered. This is the same line i choose above when diamonds where not available for five tricks, and since they can never be (count, who needs to count), I go with this spade queen play, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
