inquiry
Maybe it is just me, but I bid 2♣'s. then rebid 2♠ when partner bids again... and my partners will bid again unless thay are really, really broke with clubs.
han
I don't mind the expert 2C bid, but I don't think it is necessary. The hand seems good enough for 3S, and the spades certainly are. Make it AQxxxx x Kxx AQx and the 2C is much more appealing.
pclayton
3♠ looks fine to me. This is a lot better than a 15 count! Even playing Trent weak 2's, where 1 maj - 1x - 2 maj is heavier than usual, I'd still bid 3.
luke warm
3♠ seems to show this hand exactly
luis
2♣ for me too.
cherdano
3♠. 2♣ has no appeal to me at all with such a good spade suit.
Free
3♠, my suit is self sufficient...
mcphee
Looks like 3S to me, 7- 71/2 playing tricks good suit, and attempt to reach game facing a minimum hand. I do not care for 2C, some days partners pass with 3 and only 1S.
pbleighton
3S clear. Peter

kgr
I did bid 2♠ that was passed out and made 7 after a ♦ lead.Agree that 3♠ seems a lot better with these good ♠'s.What does bidding 2♣ followed by 2♠ exactly mean? Is that in between 2 and 3 ♠?
han
What does bidding 2♣ followed by 2♠ exactly mean? Is that in between 2 and 3 ♠? Yes, but it also suggests a weaker suit (at least to me).

zasanya
Playing sayc and playing for money or imps 4♠; 3♠ if playing for mps.Playing 2/1, 3♠ always.
jdonn
3♠ for sure. I don't see the point in 2♣. If I had weaker spades then maybe. Or if I was 6313 instead of 6133, as part of the point of 2♣ is to avoid missing hearts when that suit is right.
