Request: Beta testers for my TB

Recommended Posts

Hi.

My project is to make a tool that could bid any system based on directions

in a XML file, no matter how complex a system might be.

Currently I 've implemented a few systems, like sayc,2/1,precision into it.

In any XML file there are conditions and decisions that must be true before

the program makes a bid. It works well with highly structured systems.

Features:

1. Training in opening bids/responses at any level

2. Bid the whole hand at once

3. Bid the hand interactively with your partner over TCP

With TB, you get to learn any system , no matter how complex, by using it.

It has the great advantage that you can test a system without even knowning

a single line of it.

Take a look at the project's homepage, http://www.turboirc.com/tb

The final point is to implement every system into it as XML, and encourage

all system creators to export their system in the required XML format in

order to be visible/biddable in TB.

Anyone that is interested in beta testing, contact me:)

Regards,

Michael , or precision0 in bbo.

Michael - your ID indicates you know precision. If so then you also knows quite well that above text makes no sense. It can help you to remember, it can help you learn special parts. The system - the theory - the meaning and general construction you cannot grab from files alone.

You will soon need to realize, just as I have needed to accept, bridge players are not curious. Simple bridge is sufficient for most players. Routine is what matters not personal challenge.

You will soon be disappointed that most players only enjoy their personal interpretations and assume partners interpretations as strange or maybe even wrong.

After introduction of FD I think you need to explain the advantages of TB compared to FD.

I don't insist on the fact that any system will be 100% usable without immersing into its logic.

If you think that bridge players are not curious, I might agree, but some really are, and explore various systems. For these people I am trying to create something that will allow system evaluation in a very short time.

Take, for example, one of the most sofisticated system out there. In order to try how effective it might be, you need to learn it and play it. This requires time.

It will surely help if you have it in a XML form, in order to evaluate it in a very short time and decide if it is worth learning it.

I do not believe that TB will replace the human brain of course, but as far as I have test ed myself, It has already helped me in learning the internal structures of a system.

Regards,Michael
