csarmi
Okay, here's the go: You sit north, and the bidding goes: 1nt - 2sp - 3nt - pass all West opened first hand, his 1nt is 11-14 HCP, quasi-balanced hand (may have 5M, 6m, 5m422). 2sp is cappelletti (constructive), 3nt is natural, promises spade a stopper. Your hand is AT9862 x A A98xx. 1) Which suit to lead?2) Suppose you lead a spade. Do you lead the Ace, the 9 (promises T+ a higher, or no higher cards), or the 6 (3/5th card from one honour, or 4/6th card from two honours). Codo
I was used to lead my unknown minor in these situations, but this had been no big success. But do I really believe, tha a spade lead can beat the contract? I believe them for now and lead a low club, 5. highes from one Honour. tonedown
I'd lead the A♣, followed by a small club.
Al_U_Card
If you were brave enough (ie convinced it was right) to bid 2S, then you should be able to lead one. I choose the T. The opps may have 2 stops, but you get in at least twice so go for it.
luis
I bid 4♣ before leading.
luke warm
I bid 4♣ before leading. HAHAHHAHA
toothbrush
I think i'll lead ♠9. I believe this is a safe lead unless east has 5 spades (very unlikely). A lead in ♣ could also work, but I prefer leading my longest suit.
csarmi
What makes the ♠9 better than the ♠A? I forgot to mention, but what I am really interested is the why's.
Free
♣, it works a lot to lead your 2nd longest suit... Imo leading ♠9 or small seems useless imo, the A is way better.
