This made my day!As to Kamala Harris, I'm the same age as her father, and her age lies between the ages of my two daughters. Hardly a reason to put her on the ballot, but so what. I looked up the Wiki entry on The beach Boys and it notes that Surfin USA is a re-write of Chuck Berry's Sweet Little Sixteen. I guess I should be embarrassed to admit I never noticed this. thepossum Posted October 13, 2020 Report Share Posted October 13, 2020 Today I am playing everything in 1/4 tone dropped tuning. I tried it to play AC/DC and then have been playing other tunes dropped too. It was difficult tuning it exactly 1/4 tone but I seem to have each string sounding pleasing to the ear, they are relatively tuned and the dropped A chord sounded vaguely correct - so its a start :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I usually buy a few....I don’t recognize many of the leading artists any more, but I like to discover new music. Right now I’m listening, on Tidal, to Fiona Apple Fetch the Boltcutters. thepossum Posted December 30, 2020 Report Share Posted December 30, 2020 My music mood for the last week or so has been trying to put together a decent playlist of 2020, given that the curating algorithms and apps seem incapable of doing such a thing Currently going though around 30+ albums 400 or so songs, multiple lists of recommendations (in media), and trying to find something remotely fresh and new. Lots of good stuff from people who have been round a while :) So its anything from death metal, to pop, to country, to blues, to hiphop etc - and clearly anything recorded over the last 40-50+ years counts as a new release these days :) Phoebe Bridgers and Cleo Sol jump to mind as two very listenable albums.
