PhantomSac
Hi, It's hard to get a money bridge game, and since only people who come here and download the beta can play I thought this was the place to come. Who here plays for money? I am looking for games sometimes so I will add you to my friends list and maybe we can play if we're on at the same time. Thx. jdeegan
B) Count me out. It's way, way too easy to cheat to make an unmonitored money game feasible. However, if you can figure some way out of this dilemma, it would be one of the best things ever to happen to the game of bridge.

They have figured out a way around this.

hrothgar
It is not possible to cheat in the BBO's money game room. Cheating is not the same as collusion.
inquiry
It is not possible to cheat in the BBO's money game room. Cheating is not the same as collusion. I am twice confused. Collusion at money bridge is still cheating, and anyway, it is not possible for "collusion" in the current set up either (playing for money at one of the BBO's Money tables). Can you explain your cryptic remark richard?

Can you explain your cryptic remark richard? BBO's money bridge tables partner North with one GIB and East with another GIB. This eliminates any possibility that North/South or East/West could collude and pass information back and forth out of band. This is a very sweet little hack that should be recognized, both for its simplicity and its elegance... However, this accomplishment does NOT eliminate cheating. There are LOTS of ways left that players seeking an edge could cheat.
CarlRitner
I can see players cheating by using artificial aids to memory and by using enhanced analysis techniques. I don't see the collusion angle though. I am also curious to see what Richard means here. Cheers, CarlBridge Books ~ Learn, Play, Enjoy! barmar
I probably wouldn't play money bridge against a random pick-up opponent, but what's the problem with playing against someone you know and trust not to cheat?
cherdano
If I were interested in playing money bridge, I would be more afraid that my unknown partner is much better than me, than that he is cheating. For example, PhantomSac seems to be a new account, so there is nothing stopping him from being Meckstroth... Since you can't kibitz at money bridge, you will in fact never be able to tell beforehand that your opponent is of similar skills as you are.
