Echognome
Double. I'm 3-suited. Wtp?
JohnnyH7
I'll predict a unanimous vote.
mr1303
This really is a perfect hand for a take-out double. There just isn't any alternative bid, unless I'm playing something daft like Fishbein defence to pre-empts.
jchiu
Double. I'm 3-suited. Wtp? Did this come from a textbook? Double, WTP?
P_Marlowe
Double. I'm 3-suited. Wtp? ... I need to add some words, to get the message posted, altough the quoted sentence sums it all up.
hrothgar
As sad as I am to go along with the majority, double seems clear...

luis
Maybe 5♣, 4 cards, singleton in diamonds, both majors hidden in case they bid 5♥ or 5♠ over 5♣.3NT is also an option, not balanced, no diamond stopper, no source of tricks, both majors hidden. If double was for penalties that could also be fine but I guess is takeout here so it is a problem, I can play in any suit that pd has and I have the values pd will expect for a takeout double so it is doubtful. So I bid 3♠ showing spades, if pd has 3 spades and 4 hearts he will correct to 4♥ otherwise we can play 5♣. It's the most flexible bid. mikeh
This must be a multi-part problem, with an actual real question to come, or else this belongs in the beginner thread :) Anyone who doesn't double is kidding ( see Luis' post) or not a bridge player or is playing some weird conventional treatment. Assuming the 3♦ bid is a psyche.

Free
You'd think this thread would be VERY short, since it's soooooooooo clear to Dbl... Doesn't even need any arguments :)
akhare
X -- what else? Surely P is ruled out and you wouldn't want to bid a 4 card major at the 3 level. Anyway, since this was posted as a question, I am guessing that some other illogical choice was a big winner in this case? Atul

Joe de Balliol
It's quite frequent that I read a topic and think "Anything but option a is insane" - option a being double here. It's less frequent that others agree with me :) J
