chicken
ask fred. however remember that it is commercial software. reverse engineering of a dotw file is possible, but as i understood it not really wanted (and right they are!). i heard that u can buy the 1 year licence if u want to work with an editor. uday
The LIN format is not publicly documented for some reason. I can explain the subset of lin commands that go into hand records easily enough. FG has a program that lets you build a full blown LIN file but he doesnt give it away except to authors or perhaps to people he can trust to (1) not distribute it and (2) not bug him for tech support. He also has a document that explains the tags. Hmm.

fred
You are welcome to use .lin files and the BBO program to view them for any non-commercial use that you want. You can distribute these files in whatever way you want. If you want to use the files you create commercially, please send me an e-mail (fred@bridgebase.com), but I may not be able to respond until next week. Fred GitelmanBridge Base Inc.www.bridgebase.comHi Fred, hi Uday, Many thanks for this admission. I use self-created lin-files for teaching purposes in the BIL.I learned about lin-files by reverse-engeneering and trial and error. I edit the files with WORD. I would appreciate to have a list of the tags. FG has a program that lets you build a full blown LIN file but he doesnt give it away except to authors or perhaps to people he can trust to (1) not distribute it and (2) not bug him for tech support. He also has a document that explains the tags.Is it possible to get this list of tags? Many thanks Sincerly Al
