Miron
[hv=d=n&v=n&s=sakxxhk109xxxdxcxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv]2♠ - 3♣ - 3♥ - 4♦4♥ - x - ? 2♠ = 8-10, (5)6+♠ I know we have ten spades so I tested the second fit, so I know whether we should bid on 5th level. Does this make sence? What would you bid?
P_Marlowe
Hi, 4S, that's what you intended to bid. A direct 4S would have made it a bitharder for them, but you found the dbl. fit, now it is time to tell partner about it. Bidding 4S direct or delayed is a tacticalquestion, both approaches can work out perfect or leave you guessing in the end. With kind regardsMarlowe
cherdano
Not sure that is right, but I would bid 5♥.
Codo
A 4 ♠ now looks like a Transfer to 5 of a minor from an opponent. Do I wish to play that? When I declined to bid 4/5 Spade direct ( I had not), I think that not showing the double fit to the opps is making it more difficult for opps to react. I doubt, that this information is of any use to partner.
mr1303
4H has just been hit by my RHO? In which case I pass and hope for +
keylime
4H doubled? I'm passing too - running to spades might indicate a void somewhere.
pclayton
Sometimes we get to play 4♥ x'd  4♠ tips the opps off about the double fit (which they should realize anyway, but you never know).
Gerben42
I Pass. Maybe everyone will. If not I bid 5♠. Redouble is just a transfer to 5m.BTW I expect this to be +690 not +590, but who knows bad breaks and all might kill the overtrick (maybe just the 2nd one though).
