Lestat
Recently I seem to be experiencing disconnections, not common in the past. The reconnection software simply does not work (at least for me). I would prefer a clear disconnection, so I can log on myself without waiting for the reconnection software to do its thing and do its thing, and .... , then finally fail. uday
Why would you be able to reconnect if the client can't, though? When client detects disconnection, it attempts to reconnect 5 (?) times then gives up and displays the failure message
Lestat
The problem is I can't stop the software from attempting to reconnect - all 5 times - when I could reconnect immediately (at least I did in the past). Your reconnection code dosn't work well. Has this been tested recently when you have 6000 players online?
uday
It would be difficult for any reconnection code to work well when something is wrong with the connection. The number of players online don't affect the reconnection code on the client in this sense (bec. the client is not connected). If you are convinced that the client reconnection fails while your manual attempt would work, let fred@ know that you'd like the ability to disable auto-reconnection. However, I dont think it is an issue of connection code. My instinct is that something is breaking your conn and that the conn recovers in a few seconds.
