pbleighton
Will 4NT imply hearts, or any two suits? Peter

luis
Abstain! Did I just pass 3♠ ??? yes you did Well I would never pass 3♠ with 6-5 in the minors. So I'm happy to abstain :-)
mike777
our table went: p=p=1h=2c3s=? We do not play weak 2D.Thought of bidding 4s now but instead followed Bergen rule of not bidding slam after a one level opening and just bid 5c. whereagles
Well I would never pass 3♠ with 6-5 in the minors. So I'm happy to abstain :-) Well, if you wanted to bid 4NT before, why don't you do it now that you know pard has cards? :)

So I'm happy to abstain :-) Well, if you wanted to bid 4NT before, why don't you do it now that you know pard has cards? :) Because: 1: I can't have the hand I have (I would have overcalled before)2: They have already found they have a spade fit after I let them bid 4♠ in comfort3: Because my pd and I get quite irritated when you pass initially and discover you have a two suiter later
EarlPurple
just because partner has lots of master points doesn't mean he's a great player. And why should double be penalties?
barmar
And why should double be penalties? Because 4NT is available as a takeout bid.
Blofeld
If partner's good, I'd assume double is takeout. Anyhow I bid 4NT now.
