Worst TV Shows

Too many to count.....

Start with MTV and its drivel. Anything with Brittany, Paris, Ozzy, the Barkers or the Hulkster I will avoid like the plague. I hate my offspring watching it too.

Next down the list is the rest of the Reality shows.

Well I'm not too likely to agree after mentioning it in my favourites. Could this be the Drury of TV shows?

ROFL that was funny.

OMG neighbors is still on????????????? I used to watch that when I lived in england but that was way back in the day. Is home and away still on too?

Fortunately, Danish TV2 has now decided to show this )&¤¤"! at 3 in the morning when only desperate men are awake. And no, I am sound asleep at that hour.

...unless there is a Vugraph broadcast going on, I suppose ;-)

Yes, blame it on the Americans, Aussies and Japanese! It really shouldn't be allowed to have a broadcast at 3 am! :)

FoxNews

I don't watch a lot of TV but I find Fox News rivetting if only for the lunacy of its presenters. It's a bit like a car wreck. You know you shouldnt slow down to rubber neck but invariably you cant help yourself.

- nip tucs (or whatever it is called: that one with the always "hot" surgeon)

- Big Brother

- those embarrassing talk shows with only stupid persons who discuss EVERYthing on tv

- musicshows with "Schlagern" and "Heimatmelodien" (= this Oktoberfest sound...)

- a lot of animated cartoons for children

- most political talk shows

tv sucks most of the time :P

I know what you mean and I'm feeling similarly about it. Actually it wasn't the presenters who upset me but the audacious flag waving attitude displayed in any show I happened to see on that channel (BTW my FoxNews experiences are from my time in Sydney, Oz :-).

I'm enjoying the discussions of TV shows, movies, and what have you.

I think its a BIG mistake to let discussions of politics and religion take root here.

I'm as partisan as the next guy (maybe more so). I'm "serious" enough about my politics that I won't do business with companies that support the opposition.

I would really prefer to remain ignorant of other individuals political affiliations.

i agree that discussing politics and/or religion might not be the best thing :)

having said that, i'd also like to know what people mean when they say some of the things they say... the newscaster for fox is shepard smith.... i honestly haven't seen any 'audacious flag waving' from him or any incredibly ignorant statements

now if the discussion is on political shows/pundits, that might be different.. but the posts mentioned fox news, so the assumption i make is the anchor, shepard smith

I was not talking about one specific program, but on the news channel that was a part of the FoxTel package that is offered in Australia (if I'm remembering correctly this was also called FoxNews). Probably the naming and all is different in the US, so please take it with a grain of salt.

Having said that, it was in the late of 2001 when I was watching a lot of FoxTel, and of course the coverage was even more emotional in those times.

I agree with those who want to keep politics out of this forum. Maybe I should not have mentioned FoxNews to begin with. BTW I generally despise TV news formats who care to address the audience's emotions and employ sensationalism. There are many other examples of this and certainly quite a few instances on the German TV networks as well.

Oh my God, I just watched a really stupid romantic German series :) But I couldn't stop because it played on a luxury sailing ship on a journey around Cuba. An over 60 year old lady found true love after a bad disappointment *sigh* I need to visit my psychotherapist again....SOON (the usual 3 minutes advice for 130€ ;) )
