pigpenz
I really am not fond of any of the current shows so I'll have to provide a list of my all time favorites (not reruns but the original series). The Twilight ZoneMaverickMonty Python's Flying CircusYou Bet Your LifeGunsmokeHave Gun, Will TravelRawhideMission Impossible winstomn you must be reliving your childhood from the fifities...you forgot The Lawrence Welk Show you have the rest of the saturday night line up :P
Deanrover
I didn't know you got the British version of Coupling in the U.S., thought you remade it. Never will understand why you insist on remaking excellent shows. Coupling is excellent, but the last series was dire (no Jeff has something to do with it). The Office is quite possibly the best T.V. show ever :D
keylime
BSG in the house! My favorite show, is World Rally Car on Speed. Almost anything on Speed, is nice (I'll tolerate NASCAR; I much prefer road racing). Golf is a close 2nd, winter sports 3rd. For the "regular" TV, I watch either old Dr. Who on Maryland Public TV or at times I'll grab the occasional newsflash on FoxNews.

pbleighton
"and buy all of babylon 5 if you can... you'll see the genius of harlan ellison" Genius might be a stretch, but it was one of the best sci fi series ever - Star Trek: Next Generation and the X-Files are the others IMO. The TNT Dune miniseries was good, too, better (but not as flashy) as the movie. Didn't really capture the book, though that may be impossible. luke warm
i liked the movie dune, but it got panned by the critics (maybe rightly so, i'll leave that to the experts to decide)... and yeah, b5 was a fabulous show, imo the best scifi series tv has had

GeeGee
Just been watching first episode of 'Planet Earth' on BBC. Incredible, stunning pictures of a great white shark hunting seals. Otherwise, from an Anglo-centric viewpoint: - ERLaw and Order, and an absolute classic from the past, Hill Street Blues. It's a cliche that US TV is rubbish, but the best US TV is the best in the world. Geoff

No wonder it's incomprehensible if you don't know the novel. I guess that's why it got panned by the critics. The atmosphere of the movie is awesome, as is the sound track. That alone makes it a great movie for me, and the cast is excellent too. I'm really sorry that they didn't shell out the budget to make something like the Lord of the Rings series when adapting Dune. --Sigi

Finch
For those of you old enough to remember Dr. Who is coming back same night and station as Battlestar very soon. Beware Daleks! Slight americo-centricity here? The second 'new' series of Doctor Who is starting soon. The series to which you refer finished last summer. I used to watch all sorts of rubbish, but now watch only Doctor Who (when it restarts), occasional cricket and a bit of news in the mornings. I watch a bit of Animal Planet and Discovery to practise Dutch.

I thought: Hmmmm... I could watch TV at Elianna's house.
Elianna
Does anyone watch Iron Chef? When it's on, and Adam and I can't agree on anything else, we watch it. I don't think that counts to what you're asking.

I understand the new doctor only lasted one season and you will be getting a new one. Btw, the old series was written by Douglas Adams sometimes and produced by the same people who did the Avengers. I loved the Avengers, Mrs. Peel is Hot! the cars are cool and the stories fun. Steed really knows how to wear a bowler.

Gerben42
In no particular order: FuturamaThe SimpsonsX-Files Haven't seen "Numbers" yet but sounds like something I'd like. I also like quiz shows. When I moved to Germany I found it a good way to learn the language and the culture. But I'm missing those BBC quiz shows which are way better than the ones on German television. You are the weakest link - goodbye!
