billyjef
Yesterday, sitting north, playing imps, all vulnerable, I picked up this hand: Void AKQJ9 AQ653 AJ3 starting with East the bidding proceeds: (p)p(2s)? I chose to double then cue bid, but after I wondered if I make a michaels bid and cue again if that would send the same message that I have a very strong 2 suited hand? Free
First cuebid, partner responds, and then you cuebid...
keylime
I'd Michaels that hand easily - I got game easily in sight and if pard can't tolerate hearts, you may avoid a bad minor game. Doubling allows the other player to further the preempt, so take the bid from them...
luke warm
double also runs the risk (slight or not) of partner leaving it in.. argh eh?
