castlle
Hello I have been adherent member with BBO for a few years under the name of castille (FRANCE) I expose you my problem, because I think that you are suitable for inform me, if not to direct itself usefully towards the engineering departments of BBO Indeed since a few months I undergone regularly cuts of connection during the part after only a few minutes of play on BBO These losses of connection obstruct me considerably, as well from the point of view of the good course of the part as screw has screw of the bridge players present at the table So that I was sanctioned 2 times throughout one 3 day prohibiting any participation on BBO to me Initially, I showed my FAI of these cuts Then that be with the turn of France Telecom All of them ensured me, after meticulous controls of the line and state of the network ADSL, which they were not responsible for these disturbances and which in their opinions it is rather about the program of BBO which would be in question I evolve/move with version 4.5.7. I am tear of bridge and I do not manage to play correctly and continuously on BBO, that me gene much more especially as this play online enables me to appease my passion taking into account my immobility The program BBO which is installed on my hard disk is it causes some as claims it my FAI and France Telecom This version 4.5.7. is it reliable (it is true that with a preceding version I did not meet this type of problem) As you see I am desperate and I do not manage to find on my level the solution with these inopportune disconnections (the safety of the program managing the activity of each bridge player, would not be it not the cause of these cuts, considering my inactive presence on BBO???) I thank you in advance for being so kind as to bring your assistance to me and for worrying you my problem Please agree to answer me in all the cases Well cordially
mink
My frequency of connection problems is about 3 times per year. Main reason is an internet connection problem that affects all Germany or even all Europe. I do not count the cases of course when the BBO server crashes and is rebooted such that all connections are lost, but this is rather seldom, too. Therefore, I conclude, the source of your problems is probably your computer, you ADSL line or your internet provider. Because if the problem was the BBO server or the client software, I would experience this, too. Karl
pbleighton
I have had very good luck with connections with myself and my partner - I can't remember the last time either of us had a problem. Our opponents, however, are a different matter. We will get on in the Main Lobby, and play perhaps 20-30 hands. During that time we might have 4 or 5 opponents. Probably every third time we play an opponent will have a major problem - not just 10 or 15 seconds. They seem never to be U.S. or Canadian players. Question for Uday, Fred, or Ben - is this usually an ISP issue? Peter
csdenmark
Be sure you defrag(optimize) your computer on a regular basis. I rarely have connection problems but can happen of course - especially if they have Vugraph on. I think I have some problems if computer hasn't been shut down for more than a week. Looks like computers need to be rebooted from time to time.

And I would guess the original poster has problems regardless how long the computer was already running. Karl
