Not allowing MBC play when signed up for a tourney

Quite often I want to keep playing in MBC with friends who are entering the same tourney, or I just want to play until the tourney starts and my opponents and partner know this. Perhaps there could be an option for the other players at the table - "XXX is registered for a tournament starting in Y minutes - allow him to sit?" or "- do you still wish to sit?" depending on who is hosting the table. This would stop encouraging people to leave tournament sign-ups to the last minute, which would make things slightly easier for the tournament director as well.

I think you know why it has been stopped. As I see matters then opening a public club from where all kind of suckings with no time limits is the easy solution. That club will be able to be used exactly as Main Club for those who have nothing better to do in the time they need to wait.

Such proposal will also be positive as it will then be evident completely to stop all kind of sucking away from Main Club tables.

I don't play in MBC unless all 3 other players at

the table are "known" to me or friends.

Why?

Because it's virtually impossible to get the game

going steady with random opps or partner.

And being sucked away to tourney isn't the worst

culprit, people just leave after a bad bid by pd or

a wrong lead or defense by pd,or strange declaring.

Very few give the player more than one chance,

one board and they're gone.

Then the hassle begins, looking for a new player,

then the one who's left by pd,leaves too,and the

same thing almost always repeats itself with the

next pair of players.

It's not uncommon having to replace 5-6 players

in 10-12 boards,very annoying.

A much bigger problem than tournament suction in my opinion.
