Tourney Invitations Bell or Whistle

I was wondering if it would be reasonable to ask that some sort of bell or whistle be attached to tourney invitations? On several occasions I have been invited to play in a tourney, but because I was out of visual sight of my computer, but within earshot, I didn't see the invitation til to late.

This has happened to me as well... I am often logged onto the game site, kibitzing.... but I am a lazy kibitzer, often with other windows open doing other things, or watching sports on TV, or going on a munchie run to the kitchen. However, I think it is bad form to invite a person by trying to register them without first asking them by private chat if they would like to play (exception of course, is if they are listed in the partnership desk). So the normal message whistle is probably enough. Perhaps we need to make the private message bell louder to draw your attention...

What makes the noise is a file called CHAT.WAV and find some other loud and obnoxious sound file and name it CHAT.WAV in your bridge base online/netsounds directory. The downside of this is you will hear this sound with every PRIVATE chat message sent to you... aRGHHH... I turn my sound off most of the time, so this might work for me if I remember to rurn it on when I am not paying attention, but it would drive you nuts if you had to hear it all the time.

BBO does not support a specific sound for Invite but if you use

Start/Settings/Control Panel/Sounds

and

Change the sound associated with "Question"

you can achieve much of what you want. Of course, other apps may issue the same sound now, and BBO will also do so when it asks you "Do you want to leave table?" etc.

TY Uday, this works quite nicely.
