DrTodd13
Many times, I'll scan the tables and join one knowing that my partnerplays 2/1 or polish club or some other system I want to play at themoment. After playing with that person, when they have to log off, someone will sit down who doesn't play the system I want to play atthat moment. They may have gotten the table owner's permissionbut they didn't get my permission. Table owners rarely ask whatsystems you're willing to play and so often someone who doesn'tplay that system sits down and I have no choice but to leave. So, my suggestion is as follows. Allow each player to set a checkbox to indicate that they would like to restrict with whom they would like to play. Then, both the host of the table and the person's pdwould have to agree before the new player could sit. The first personthat both host and remaining player say is willing to join is the onethat gets the chair.
bhugi
Good idea, but it is difficult to implementIt may spend too much time selecting the person to sit.and what will happen when the host and the one who need partner cannot make an agreement? I have an modified version.Normally the host has the right to select who can join.We can try to add a new feature that the host pass the right to respective players. Decision making restrict to 1 person only, but now is the one who need partner, not the host. The host can choose reserve the right, than this new feature is hidden. I have another problem which happened several times. When I open a new table, I will need to decide the type of game (mp, imp or total points) Is there anyway to change the type of game during game, without all people leaving their current seats? Add a feature, an enquiry box (just like the one asking for claim or concede)when all people agree, they can migrate from mp game to imp game or vice versa? DrTodd13
In some cases, the table host may not care and could delegatethe new player choice to the partner of the new player. Providingthat option is fine as well. The table host would still retain theright to remove that person after the fact if they didn't like them. Something else that bugs me a little is when playing vugraph hands, you get to play 16 hands and then it reverts to hands where youget no comparative scoring. After the set of vugraph hands is done,it would be nice to switch to a new set of vugraph hands or let thehost select MPs or IMPs so that you get scores to compare against.
