kaninunge
I sometimes look at the "My Hands" Summary page on the BBO website at http://online.bridgebase.com/myhands/index.phpto see how I'm doing and to troubleshoot my worst hands. I look at my average, but have discovered that my average is meaningless:-I play in "open" tourneys-I play in the main room-I play in the BIL (Beginners/Intermediate Lounge) Needless to say, I've discovered that if I played more hands in the BIL, my average # of IMPs gets better ;) I'd like to see the results searchable by location played, not just by date (so I can separate out my BIL hands from the "open" tourneys. Thanks
Mr. Dodgy
Not quite the same thing, but it reminds me: I'd like to see (a 'show all boards' option?) the tournament results travellers posted as a single page, largely for the purpose of simpler copying, but it should also provide easier viewing online by eliminating mouseclicks. A further option to highlight a particular player's name could be included. Thanks,
Gerardo
Kaninunge: There is no current way to differentiate hands played in the BIL from hands played in the Main Club. Best possible is summary by tourney/match/clubs (including main). Mr. Dodgy: Will think about it, can return very large pages depending on tourney size/length, though. Until Gerardo figures this out for you, you may want to check out the HomeBase Club. We will provide a single HTML page after each of our events. In theory, this webpage with complete results will be posted extremely quickly after the completion of the tournament (goal is less than a minute). In addition to normal traveler stuff (contract, declarer, result, bridge score, and imps/matchpoint%), Homebase will also show: opening lead at each table and deep finesse calculated makeable contracts for all compass positions. Initially, for many tournaments there there will also be a brief discussion about each hand... eventually that discussion will be availabe only to club members (but club membership is free so that is not a major problem). Since the myhands site is interactive, you can easily find old hands you played going back a few months. The HTML pages we produce will be static, and difficult to find over time. We solve that problem for our members by two means. One is we will email them, if they like, a personalized traveler with all the infomation on the html traveler plus the bidding and play at their table, or just a link to the online traveler. And BridgeBrowser will be an option for some to call up all the hands they have played in the HomeBase club to be able to interact with those hand easily to see what happened at all tables, including card by card play from within BridgeBrowser for all tables in the tournament, or BBO members can use their NetbridgeVu program on their own computer to view the play if they like. As for highlight a particular players name, HomeBase does that for our club members via two means. One is they can use BridgeBrowser to search by players name, the program then places these people in the chair that looks like the south seat. Or get the customized emails mentioned above. The custom emails are working, but we will not start off with those, as we have to figure out how to allow our members to opt into that service (and to supply us with their email addresses of course).
