csdenmark
Fred I like to put up a question whether it is or maybe it will be possible to assign FD files to LIN files. I think of running this LIN file: 1983 Bermuda Bowl. Italy versus USA displaying this for NS: Orange Club and displaying this for EW: Precision BG standard
fred
Very good idea Claus. Thanks! This is certainly possible, but it will require some work by me. Not sure when I will get a chance to do this, but it is such a good idea that I can say with some confidence that this will happen and it won't take forever. csdenmark
Thank you very much Fred. But in fact it is Nikos Sarantos we both need to thank. In this way also Nikos' files may produce a revival of ancient and glorious times of bridge.
DenisO
Excellent idea and good luck with the implementation Fred :) When I've been preparing the lin files for Nikos' site I've often thought it would be a good idea to have a Readme file with a description of the teams' methods - the World Chamionship books of the 60's and 70's are very good at giving the methods e.g the 1969 book gives 8 pages on the differences in the Italian systems - and that's in addition to descriptions of the systems used by all pairs of the five competing teams! However I never seemed to get round to it so Claus's idea of using FD would be an added bonus for these great matches of the past.
