kaninunge
Sometimes I want to sub in a tourney but only for the last 3-4 hands.... so I click on "tournaments in progress", but then how can I see how many hands are remaining? Instead of joining a table, I click "movie" to see how many hands have been played, but that shows only an empty card. I can go "kib" at a table to see which round the tourney is on, but then I've seen the cards and disqualified myself for that hand. Some tourneys don't allow kibs at all, and then I have no idea how to tell how many hands are left. I guess I could message the TD, but I don't want to bother her/him just to say I don't have time for the, say, 6 remaining hands..... Thanks, Ramona
jillybean
Hi, Simple answer is you can't tell without asking the td, even then in unclocked tournaments you can have different tables playing different rounds. I would just sign up as a sub and hope for the best, if you cant complete the tournament tell the TD . I dont mind subbing subs during a tournament, you are helping me out. jb
inquiry
Jilly's advice is sound but with one caveat. If you leave a tourney (for any reason, including a director subbing you out), it counts as an abandoned tournement. Do that too often and the software will suspend your rights to play in tournaments. Caution: Leaving as dummy on the last hand counts too I think all TD's should remind their players of that last little tidbit. You can leave a tourney or two without problems, but if you sub in and out of tourneys, you will definately run into trouble.
