Echognome
[hv=d=n&v=b&s=sq7hqjt852dqt2cat]133|100|Scoring: XIMP1♠ - 2♥4♠ - ?[/hv] You are playing a natural system with 5 card majors and a strong NT. Partner opens 1♠ and rebids 4♠ showing a big hand as 2♠ and 3♠ would both be non-forcing. So you make another move? If so, what? Note: This is an opponent's problem, so I'm giving you the best description I have of their system.
MickyB
Don't you just love LOL bidding... I'll pass. My heart values don't look great, and If I'm playing this my partner probably can't declare to save his or her life.
han
3♠ not forcing? I abstain.
Echognome
3♠ not forcing? I abstain. I only knew that bit, when my RHO said "I couldn't bid 3♠ as that would have been non forcing." Shrug.
Blofeld
If Matt's defending I bid 6♠.

Echognome
Well done Justin. You found the top spot. The full hands are: [hv=d=w&v=b&n=sakt852ha4da43ck8&w=s63hk6dk875cj6543&e=sj94h973dj96cq972&s=sq7hqjt852dqt2cat]399|300|Scoring: XIMP1♠ - 2♥4♠ - Pass[/hv] Whereas in real life our South tanked a bit and then passed. I'm sure he's seen his p's 4♠ rebids before.
barmar
3♠ not forcing? I abstain. I only knew that bit, when my RHO said "I couldn't bid 3♠ as that would have been non forcing." Shrug. If they're using such a broken system, what's the point of the question? I think RHO forgot that his partner made a 2/1 bid. Unless you're playing a system where this can be done with less than invitational strength, a jump rebid by opener has got to be forcing.
