It was a yucky sequence, great fit in 2 majors but just have no way to describ side suit. I had too few control in all suits, and pard had too many clubs to take care of. 20 of 47 tables reached 6S: (a) 1S----6S(;)1S----2H----(3D)3H/4H---4NT.........©1S----4NT........(d)1S----2H3C----4NT.........(e)1S---(2D)----6S(f)1S----4C!4S(4D)----6C6S(g)1S----4C6C----6S(h)1S----4C----(double)pass--5S6S(i)1S---3D3H---4NT......(j)1S---4C5H*---6S___*2 Aces Do you like any of these? cherdano
For once, a hand where I like exclusion (5♣ directly). Of the auction to 6♠ that you quote, 1♠-6♠ seems by far the best. At least that way, it might still make when opps lead the wrong of their 3 aces. Arend
mike777
Funny enough if you have the tools to pass with that hand, yes pass and then show a void splinter over partner's one spade opening bid you should get there. Just goes to show passing with these hand types with less than 3QT does not have to be a disaster. p=1s3h=3s3nt=4c4h=5c5h=6s 3h=stiff or void somewhere, slam try by passed hand.3s=relay Partner can still have 13 hcp and 2.5 QT/6 loser hand.3nt=void somewhere4c=where?4h=void in d5c=cue5h=cue6s end
adhoc3
how about this one? 1S-----2NT3H-----6S
Gerben42
how about this one? 1S-----2NT3H-----6S Nice except that 3♥ usually shows a shortness. So make that: 1♠ 5+♠2NT Jacoby3♦ singleton3♥ control4♦ void, no ♣ control (and minimum "for someone with a void" as no serious NT was bid)5♣ XKCB5♠ 2 no Q6♠ thanks

Should be, but 4D would be just discouraging <_< I assume a different style applied :)
