Guest Jlall
Hi this is much more annoying than the bubbles How do I disable it?

macaw
On your profile under the Friends/Enemies button are two boxes to be checked, or unchecked. One gives you bubbles, and one gives you an automated chat message.

pclayton
Wow, I really pity those that have 2,000 friends. All they'd see are those notifications.
barmar
What I find confusing is Justin's claim that the messages in the chat area are more annoying than the old bubbles. If they're coming so often, it seems like those bubbles would have been interrupting you like crazy, requiring you to click them away all the time. I guess the one misfeature of the new messages in the chat area are that that stick around, using up space and causing old messages to scroll out of view sooner. I'll repeat a request I've seen others make: we should be able to enable login notices on a per-friend basis, or have a different category of friends. I have a number of champion players who I like to kibitz marked, but for some reason aren't "stars", listed as friends so they'll show up at the beginning of the lobby listing, but I don't need login alerts for them. Guest Jlall
I use the chat a lot so I find it disruptive when every few minutes I get the message. With the bubbles, they come up in an area that I am never using (top right corner) and they go away with a click. The messages don't go away, they stay in the chat box forever :P Anyways, it may just be a personal thing that I'm weird about but I switched it to bubbles. I guess thats why they give us the option :P
Guest Jlall
He didn't. He chose them as friends; you can't tell if they want to be if asked :P Roland right, although I have hundreds of people marked as friends probably only a dozen (ok I'm being generous to myself) have me marked as one :P
Walddk
The messages don't go away, they stay in the chat box forever :P Not true. Only until you press F6. Try it, and your screen becomes as clean as your windows (clean windows, that is). Roland

QuiteACard
I'll repeat a request I've seen others make: we should be able to enable login notices on a per-friend basis, or have a different category of friends. I have a number of champion players who I like to kibitz marked, but for some reason aren't "stars", listed as friends so they'll show up at the beginning of the lobby listing, but I don't need login alerts for them.In this thread I offered the following suggestion as an alternative to the per-friend login notice option and requests for additional types of friends, acquaintances, and so on: 1. Enable the "Lobby" button (the one that appears on the right hand side near the top of the chat window while playing at a table) everywhere in BBO. If "everywhere" isn't possible then I'd be happy with (most important to me first): ++ Tournament lobbies (especially during registration)++ Viewing tournament results++ Chat roomsWould being able to view the lobby anywhere provide a useful solution to this problem? While I don't spend lots of time malingering in tournament lobbies during registration I know I'd find it useful if the "Lobby" button were active there. Is the "Lobby" button available during Vugraph sessions? If it's not I suspect many of you would find it useful. QuiteACard
