Helmer
[hv=n=sa6ha1094dj76ckq86&s=skj109hq76dak95ca10]133|200|After ♥2 lead to the King, and switch to small ♦ to my king - how will you play? As the lady sitting to my left loves funny finesses, I played the 9 of ♠, which gave me one more trick. Now I tried to count again - 3 ♠ + 3 ♥ + 2 ♦ + 3 ♣. Still only 11 tricks. If her ♥ lead was 4th highest. Now I played ♠ to the ace - and took another funny finess - to the ten of ♣. also a good one (but in real might not be so good). [/hv] Now only to finess the jack of ♥ or take the K of ♦ before taking the K of ♠ - which was a very good idea. Queen droped. As we all can see there is a great presure on west, her lead, and later on squizz. West had♠ Q x x x♥ J x x x ♦ Q x♣ x x x But which way is the best way? How to combine the squezz and the finesses and all that...... ? Hope to get some good ideas. Helmerpost@helmer.cc
AceOfHeart
although i cant see why the finesse is funny, but as you play small to 10 clubs you have 12 tricks. Also you need to spell check your post <_< Also not much people I knew lead 4th best in a small slam, esp from Jxxx :)
Gerben42
Before taking the finesse in ♣ it cannot cost to play the ♦A first. Now that the Q drops you have a marked double squeeze with ♣ against both, ♦ against RHO and ♠ against LHO.

the hog
Why are you in 6NT with a combined 31 count and no good fit? You are a very lucky boy - the lead from 4 to the J shows us you were playing against a very poor player. Your line is poor. After the H lead your best line is A of D in case the an honoiur drops; you are hoping for QT tight, as this does not eventuate, a S to the A and a S hook is correct. You line is off with the pixies I'm afraid.
