the hog
1S. If you bid 1NT ypu deserve to lose a 4-4 S fit. This is a good hand for thinking before trying to be clever. Who says partner is going to bid 2C?

P_Marlowe
Hi, 1NT, followed by a weak diamond bid,i.e. 2D / 3D as a sign off bid. Marlowe
Echognome
I'm also a 1♠ bidder. My follow-ups for partner's bids are: 1NT: Puppet to 2♦ or bid 2♦ to play depending on agreements.2♣: Pass. If opps double, I'll bid 2♦.2♦: Simple raise2♥: Pass2♠: Pass The only problem bid is 2♣ and at least we won't play it doubled.
Kalvan14
1♠ here too. There are different ways of showing a weakish 4-6; I play:1♥-1♠-2♣-3♦ as showing this hand. I'll not let go the chance of a spade fit; interestingly, the oppos being silent might indicate that pard does not have a lot of hearts. HeartA
what about 2D, which is not in the list?
Guest Jlall
what about 2D, which is not in the list? It specified 2/1 GF. You are going to GF on a 7 count with a stiff in partners suit?
