HI,

Happy New Year! I’m pleased to announce that we have a home for lessons – look under public clubs for ‘Intermediate/Advanced Bridge Club’

The first session in the club will be WinstonM’s tournament and review of hands on Friday.2pm(est) 8pm(cEt)

Please let me know if you are interested in hosting a lesson or are able to help support the club in any way. If you can host a session we can help by creating hands, running tournaments, hosting teaching tables so you can focus on the lesson.

Some people have already volunteered to

 Run sessions (tournaments+review, think with ___,etc)

 Create hands for tournaments

 Run tournaments

 Host a table for the teacher, organize players

 Update information on forum and in the club news

 Suggestions, feedback

The Club News (accessed from the club lobby) will be kept up to date with session information and the information will be repeated here. At the moment I am going to discontinue the email notification, if you were receiving emails please check here or lounge club news for session times.

Thanks to everyone who supported and helped get this off the ground.

As far as I understand, the club isn't meant to take away players from BIL or anything. It just offers lessons and stuff which is suited for intermediate/advanced+ players. Everyone is welcome, but a novice will probably have not much benefits from participating because the level might be too high.

Jilly, do you see it as a proper use of the club to just enter and start a table? Or would you prefer to keep it for planned events? I'm happy to follow your preferences here.

Just a side note on the BIL/I-A issue: I assume people will sort themselves to where it seems right for them. This does not seem to even resemble a problem.

People are welcome to use the club any time they like.

Play at a table, attend a lesson, run an impromptu lesson/mentoring session, organize a team game…

Chicken – the ‘club’ is open to all, participating in another club does not exclude you from this one. People are free to come and go as they please.
