pigpenz
Is there a way that the boards played in each round can be varied like in a real movement where pairs move one way and boards another in each section....in tourneys there appears to be too much swinging in the last round especiallly at imps...just a thought :D
Gerardo
Why????F2f you do that only because the cost of duplicating all the boards is very high.Online, such cost is zero. MUCH better to have all playing the same hand at the same time.
Elianna
An easier solution to your problem may just be for tournaments to turn off barometer scoring. Then people don't know the status of their results. You may claim that this doesn't work if people know that they're doing bad (they know what results SHOULD be). Well, the same goes for rotating the boards, too.
pigpenz
Why???? casue in a 6 round 12 board tourney I would bet that boards 11 and 12 have more weird results than the other 10 boards. It would just seem to even things out a little bit in my opinion. Would make any difference, I guess only way to know would be to do some sort of statistical ananlysis of it, but that really isnt necessary. Dwingo
This is simply not practical in an online environment. People who have been substituted come back and join the tourney as a sub at a different table with a different partner. You wouldn't want them to play the same hand twice Godwin
pigpenz
mabye in an individual but i would find that hard to believe in a pairs tournament
matmat
i'm with eli on this one... just don't show the scores till the tournament is done.

I can think of a number of reasons to implement more realistic movement, however,.s isn't one of them...
ehhh
:o Whether online or f2f, don't u feel players will shoot on the last round or 2 if they think they need good bds to recover or to save face. It won't matter if the boards are rotated or not!
barmar
If the boards are rotated, then different tables will be playing different boards in the last rounds. So while they may all be shooting, they won't all be shooting on the same boards, and things will even out.
