Why not - favorable - if you have 5 spades, you would compete to 4S - of course it is natural. I don't agree with the original Pass, but that's not relevant. Peter Hi, I will put it this way, partner showed 10 cards in the minors, I denied a 6 card suit, unless a rotten one,and now it should be possible to bid 4S in searchfor a 5-3 fit? Meaning I play partner for a 3-0-5-5shape? The only thing that makes sense for me is, that 4S is a lead director in case they bid 5H over 5C/5D. Problem is whether he'll be able to find another two. It depends on what pard usually bids 2NT on. If he's solid, I'll take my chances on defense.
