Come sometime around this Monday, everyone will be updated automatically after they log on to the new version with FD.

hrothgar
thank inquiryand thank to zmud99 to it's in C:\Bridge Base Online: bidedit.exe ;) i test this As I recall, BidEdit is a standalone application which is no longer being updated... I'd recommend against using it...I'm not sure the extent to which Fred and Uday are worrying about full backwards compatibility...

This allows you to edit your files when not on. When you click on this "bidedit" it gives you the current "version number". Now if this will eventually stop being so, I don't know. uday
Bidedit is the standalone FD editor, and it is not obsolete. It is also used by BBO when working with FD files (as a player, as a spec)

Hi Ben Is it possible to edit existing bid descriptions,i.e.in the SAYC 1C and 1D opening the description/explanationis 3+ on both. I prefer my 1D opening to be 4+ and 1C to be 2+,is therea way,or do I have to create "my own" system for this?

I also have a standalone bidedit running. Create a shortcut on your desktop and point it to the bidedit application at C://Bridge Base Online/bidedit. You should basically know this. All default stock convention stored on the BBO server is saved in C://Bridge Base Online/convcards/default convcards. All the cards that you create for your self are stored C://Bridge Base Online/convcard/yourBBOID convcards. Open your bidedit application by doubleclicking your bidedit icon on your desktop. Open the card that you want to edit by File/Open and Look in C://Bridge Base Online/convcards/default convcards . Make all the changes that you want in the Edit mode, and then use "Save As" feature to save this one with a different name in a diiferent folder now C://Bridge Base Online/convcard/yourBBOID convcards. Next time you log into BBO, ( even when you are not at a table), open the modified Conv Card and click USE. The server will receive your new card and the cards in your PC and server will be synchronised. From then on, you will be able to use the new modified system FD CC everytime you play.
