A truly ugly misfit. The first question is what does south bid over 1♥ when playing 2/1? Is the hand worth a game force in clubs?

 

The key on this hand is to stay low. Not easy at all.

2♠ established a game force and the only way we can get out lower would be to pass 3♠. That is not happening.

I would guess few would stay low on this.. we go to 4♣ after I opened 1♥ and reversed into ♠, in fact, rebid 3♠. I was protected somewhat by MisIry, so this was aobut a maximum, so bailing out in only four was still possible.

Adam and I have been trying to remember our auction, but we can't even remember our final contract. Unfortunately, the hand wasn't saved because it was redelt.

 

Adam seems to recall that we may have ended up in 4Cx, but it's not 100%. We think that the auction may have gone:

2♠...3♣ - the 2♠ was game forcing

3??...4♣ - (x). We can't really remember what Adam bid, but it was likely 3♠.

 

As I said, we aren't sure that we played 4Cx. We probably should have written this down.

Ours started 1H p 2C p 2S p 4C. I strongly disagreee with 4C as it should show a solid suit, and also I wouldn't want to speed up this auction. Anyways fortunately they Xed and it went all pass.
