Hi everyone

The auction was certainly very interesting.

4NT with a void?

No Queen of trump 'shown' so plain Blackwood and not RKC. Fine.

5NT most writers play 4NT-5NT as allowing partner to bid a Grand Slam with a 'source of tricks', since it is often played as showing that all of the Aces present.

If that heart suit is not a 'source of tricks', I have very rarely seen one.

North is bidding like a MP game is being played while I 'read' that IMPs was the game. Making one overtrick at IMPs while gambling with the contract is not good IMP tactics.

Picture opener with the 'King of spades missing' and the K(KQ or KQJ) of diamonds replacing it.

That 'Q' singleton is not a stopper in 6NT 'if' the other pair has the AK of spades.

Since it is the unbid suit, a spade is likely to be lead.

Regards,

Robert

Except that his responses were wrong for regular Blackwood. He showed 2 Aces when he only had 1, and he showed 2 Kings when he has 3.

It looks more like he was responding to RKC but forgot about the Queen.
